Chelisa Behm

I have the BEST job at CLS as I get to teach every student 3K-8th grade!  I am the Art Teacher at CLS.

I am a graduate of Texas Christian University with my Bachelor of Fine Arts and I received my Master of Arts from the University of North Texas in Art Education. For 10 years I taught art in Texas schools for K-9th grades. I took a break from teaching and was the Director of Education at the ArtCentre of Plano and at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI.

I met my husband, Scott when I moved to Wisconsin and we got married in September of 2008. I like to hang out with family and friends, cook, create jewelry and other fused glass projects, travel, watch TCU football, hike, take walks, and spend time outdoors (when it is warm).

The Art Curriculum:

A variety of teaching materials, technology and resources art used to create and expand visual art experiences for students at CLS. The art curriculum is multi-faceted for students across all grade levels learning the art elements and principles of design, art history and genre. Students gain inspiration from art, artists, literature and a variety of other sources while using a variety of media and materials to create their artwork. Finally, art lessons are also aligned with the Wisconsin State Standards of Art and Design.
